KidChess is one of Mountain View's newest Partner In Education.
Beginning in September 2003, KidChess offers after-school
chess classes to Mountain View students. KidChess will be
donating 10% of tuition to the Mountain View PTA. (For more

Mountain View Elementary was the first school in the state
for which Publix became a Partner in Education.
Publix employees provide a valuable service to the school
in terms of the volunteer hours they commit to us. Publix
also supports the school through the Publix Card program.
Use the Publix Card when shopping at Publix - a percentage
of profits are donated to the school. Publix cards can be
picked up in the school office. |

Papa John's Pizza has a long history of support for Cobb County
Schools and is now a Partner in Education for Mountain View
Elementary. Beginning in November, the third Wednesday of
every month will be Mountain View's pizza night. For every
order placed between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., Papa John's will
donate 75¢ to Mountain View. Papa John's has also agreed
to provide pizza prizes for the BoxTops promotion. |

Score! Educational Centers is another new Partner in Education
for Mountain View for the 2003-2004 school year. Since 1992,
SCORE! Educational Centers, a subsidiary of Kaplan, Inc. and
The Washington Post Company, has been a provider of customized
learning programs for kids. The SCORE! team is led by Kyle
Reis and is excited about being involved in the Mountain View
community. SCORE! has already provided a scholarship to a
Mountain View student in need of academic assistance. SCORE!
will be sponsoring a study skills workshop for parents in
the spring and plans to sponsor other school events. |

Yogi Patel and his wife, Rimpal, are the franchise owners
of the Blimpie store located in the Highland Plaza shopping
center across the street from Mountain View. They are one
more new Partner in Education for 2003-2004. The Patels are
very active in the community, working with other schools and
community sports teams. They look forward to assisting Mountain
View by sponsoring a wide range of school events. |
