Assessment Guidelines/Tips:
- Graph Club and Max Count are examples of graphing
software.
- If students use Graph Club, they can
type their conclusions about the graph, in the "Notes" area in the
"Print Graphs" window. The conclusion needs to be accurate for
the students to receive a 3 on the report card.
- If a student does not accurately graph
the data that was collected, the teacher should assist to help the
student to fix his/her graph. The student would receive a score of a 2
on the report card.
Sample Student Tasks for Assessment
Weather
Graphs- Students can measure the temperature for 5 days and then
create a graph of the results.
Favorite
Pets (Fractions and Graphing)- Students graph the results
from data collected and write statements about the fractions represented
in the circle graph.
