Student Expectations - A Focus on Student Learning

Tardies to School

Administrators, social worker, and graduation coach will greet each student and family who arrives tardy to school. For students who drive, punctuality to school will be carefully monitored to determine if parking privileges are to be continued for the remainder of the semester. For those students who are dropped off at the flagpole, a staff member will be present to speak to each adult who brings a student tardy to school.

Lunch Supervision

The parking lot will be supervised during third period (all lunch periods). All parking lot gates will be locked. No students will be allowed to enter the parking lot without a note from the attendance office or a teacher.

After-school Supervision

All students must clear the school grounds by 3:45 unless supervised by a teacher or coach. For those students remaining on campus after this time, the following steps will be implemented:

• First Incident: Student name will be recorded and a phone call will be made to parent/guardian.
• Second Incident: A meeting will be scheduled with the parent/guardian and administrator or designee to discuss issues concerning transportation.
• Third Incident: Parent/guardian will be required to provide proof of residency in order to continue student enrollment at South Cobb High School.
