Shop With a Buccaneer (SWAB)
It’s hard to believe, but the Holidays are already upon us - a time for family and relaxation, but most of all, generosity. Every year, hundreds of families in our community are unable to afford gifts for their children due to their financial situation, but here at Allatoona, we are trying to change that. Shop with a Buccaneer was started to ensure that the underprivileged children in our feeder program have the best holiday season possible. Through this program, students at Allatoona raise money so that they can take these children shopping for holiday gifts. It is just one small way that we can give back to the Buccaneer Community.
This year, we are planning to take over 70 underprivileged little Buccaneers shopping at Target on December 13, 2014. In order to make Shop with a Buccaneer possible, we need two things. First of all, we need donations. Our goal this year is $10,000, which is a very tall order. The money raised for Shop with a Buccaneer comes directly from our students. As a potential mentor, we expect you to help us in this endeavor.

WELCOME DESK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Allatoona High school is in need of community volunteers to help serve as greeters for the school. We have instituted a welcome desk in the front foyer in order to greet, assist, and identify guests visiting our school. Volunteers at the desk will serve as greeters for our school issuing visitors' passes and offering assistance as needed. Thank you in advance for helping make our school a welcoming and safe environment.
