Field Day is Friday, April 27....we NEED VOLUNTEERS
It's time to prepare for our 2018 Field Day! Our students look forward to this special event. As always, parents play a very important role in field day activities. Field Day will be held for all grades levels on FRIDAY, APRIL 27th from 9:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 8:30 to sign-up for a station, help set up, and go over instructions. In addition, volunteers are asked to stay until 1:30 to help clean up. We appreciate you volunteering your time to work a station or activity. If inclement weather occurs, we will have a modified Field Day so please still plan to come.

Please do not bring strollers or children not enrolled at Blackwell since we will have over 850 students, parents, and teachers on campus. Thank you for enforcing good sportsmanship and cooperation. We could not have Field Day without you!

Thanks to parents of our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders who took the EOG/Milestones test over the past 2 weeks.  Because of your efforts to get your child to school on time each day, we were able to give 100% of the assessments by the deadline!!! That is a major accomplishment!! The tests have now been turned in and we expect scores in a few weeks!!

WHY:  Jen Lane, sister of Blackwell’s Teacher of the Year, 3rd grade teacher Liz Chandler, was injured in a horrible accident during the recent snowfall.  While out walking in the snow with her husband and son, a tree branch fell on her, hitting her in the head and severing her spinal column, which has caused permanent paralysis. Jenny has a long road to recovery, and she and her family need any and all help from Blackwell and its surrounding communities.

If you would like to make a donation, please go to support the Go Fund Me page that has been set up for her.
