Important Announcement from Dr. Walker Concerning School Security

There was a false announcement Wednesday on social media platforms concerning safety at CHS. Campus officers and administration investigated a claim on Tuesday and appropriate avenues were explored. Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Test

Chattahoochee Tech at CHS

Chat Tech will be on campus Thursday, March 22 and Tuesday, April 10 to administer the Accuplacer for students interested in Dual Enrollment. 1st/2nd block or 3rd/4th block. Sign up in the counseling office.

Congrats to Patrice Roberts!

Patrice will represent Smyrna, GA as a National Youth Correspondent at the 2018 Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University. Patrice was chosen based on academic accomplishments and interest and excellence in journalism and media studies.

The Flu: A Guide for Parents
Symptoms: Fever or feeling feverish/chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, fatigue (very tired).
Onset of symptoms: Average 2 days from exposure to the virus.
Period of Contagiousness: Ranges from 1 day before symptom onset and up to 5 to 7 days after becoming sick.
Recommendation: Stay home when sick with the flu.

Freshman Advisement and Elective Registration for Parents/Guardians and Students:

Join us for Freshman Advisement and elective registration for the 2018-19 school year. This event is only for current 9th graders and non-IB students. Sign up here to attend one of our sessions. Deadline to sign up is Thurs, Feb 8th at 4pm. If you do not attend Freshman Advisement/Registration, we will pull your freshman to complete their 2018-19 elective registration Feb 14-15.

Hunter Seibert finished his high school diving career as the Cobb County Diving Champion and ranked 9th in the state of Georgia with a score of 449.40.


Free Library Access

All students now have a Cobb County Public Library Card. It is their Campbell Student ID! Students may use this card to visit the 16 Cobb branches for book checkout, equipment use, computer use, and internet browsing to download books and use the research databases at Cobb Library Pass. Georgia Parent Survey 2017-18

Parents please complete the 24 question survey using computers, smartphones, or tablets. This survey will be used as a part of the calculation for the School Climate Star Rating. Campbell is AP Honor School

State School Superintendent Richard Woods named the Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools for 2017. Campbell High School has been recognized as: AP STEM School; AP STEM Achievement School; AP Humanities Honor School; and AP Access and Support School.

Construction

Construction of Campbell's new 3000 seat gymnasium is in progress. Visitor parking spaces are available in Wills lot, Tiger lot, and the football stadium. MAP


School Transfer for Siblings

Parents of a student who has a sibling already enrolled in a District school through an approved transfer may apply for a younger sibling to attend the same school in accordance with District Administrative Rule JBCD-R. This provision attempts to address siblings enrolled in different schools at the same time due to an approved transfer. A sibling is defined as a brother, sister, step-brother, or step-sister living in the same household and who otherwise meets the requirements for enrollment. The application window for the 2018-19 school year will be open from January 4, 2018 through January 31, 2018.
