Georgia Tech Inventure Prize Competition
Good luck to our 3 Cheatham Hill finalist teams
in the Georgia Tech Inventure Prize competition this Wed., April
1st. The 4th Annual Inventure Prize competition will be
televised on GPB at 7:30 p.m. There are four Cobb County
elementary school Target classes piloting this program for
Georgia Tech this year. The top 3 teams from each school were
determined in February at local competitions.
Twelve teams will compete against each other this Wednesday with
one team being named the winner for the elementary division.
very own Maya Cramer will be one of the students to present the
award to the 1st place college-level winner. We are very proud of our Cheatham
Hill teams and their innovative thinking!
Team Cold Crew:
Jacob Foster, Hayden Miller and Fernando Kirkconnell
Ice cream melts too quickly when it is warm outside and
no one likes that!
A “coozie” for ice cream that will help keep ice cream
colder and firmer for longer than a normal cup or bowl using a
double-walled cup with rubbing alcohol and water that can be
frozen. It also has
a lid that will help trap the cool air.
Prolonged use of a pacifier may lead to orthodontia
issues, speech problems and ear infections.
This device solves this problem.
A pacifier that has an innovative “shrinking” nipple that
will help wean babies and toddlers off
of their pacifiers.
Reagan Krueger, John Marino, May Cramer
No one likes to have a shoe slip up on their heel.
Did you know that 60% of people have one foot larger than
the other? Shoe
sizes do not consider this this fact.
A built-in tube in the shoe that leads to a small bladder
in the back of the heel that can be inflated so that it can
correctly fit the foot.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
If your student is in a BYOD classroom, please review CCSD's Internet Acceptable Use Policy,
Effective September 7, 2010, students will not be permitted to return to classrooms after 2:45 pm to retrieve
forgotten items such as homework, lunch boxes, book bags, etc. Teachers may leave the campus at 2:45 pm, therefore sending students
to rooms without someone present is a concern for our staff and for the security of our students. Please be advised that ASP
workers and custodians will no longer be able to unlock classrooms for parents or students. Until students become acclimated
to this procedure, we will provide daily reminders on the afternoon announcements.
