Compton Families Enjoy a Wonderful Night of Holiday Fun!

Dear Compton Families:

Our desire here at Compton is to involve parents in the education of their children. Each school in Georgia receives a climate star rating issued by the Georgia Department of Education. This rating is determined by survey data collected by students, parents, and staff of each local school. Parents, we need your help! Please visit http://gshs.gadoe.org/parents  for the link to the parent survey. You may complete the survey using your personal computer, smartphone, or tablet. You may also visit Compton’s Parent Resource Center to use a computer to provide your feedback.  The survey is available in Spanish too.  Your feedback is valuable and important, and we would like for every parent to complete the survey. The survey window will close on March 2, 2018.

We appreciate your feedback and, as always, we are aiming for a 5-star rating!

Sincerely,

The Compton Elementary Staff

Cobb County Schools - Sibling Transfer Policy

Sibling Transfers - Parents/guardians of a student who has a sibling already enrolled in a District school through an approved transfer may apply for a younger sibling to attend the same school in accordance with District Administrative Rule JBCD-R. This provision attempts to address siblings enrolled in different schools at the same time due to an approved transfer. A sibling is defined as a brother, sister, step-brother, or step-sister living in the same household and who otherwise meets the requirements for enrollment.  The application window for the 2018-2019 school year will be open from January 4, 2018 through January 31, 2018.

For more information about this opportunity, and for a link to the online application, visit http://www.cobbk12.org/generalinfo/transfers/schoolchoice.aspx.

Help Compton Make A Difference

Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The money raised through Relay For Life events helps realize the American Cancer Society's mission to save lives, celebrate life, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Donations are used to fund life-saving cancer research, patient support services, and detection and treatment programs.

Compton Elementary will join with other Cobb schools to bring communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.
