"The purpose of the School Council is to increase the participation of parents and the community in the management and operation of J.J. Daniell Middle School.  The School Council shall work to improve communication between the community and the school and to bring the community and the school closer together in a spirit of cooperation to solve difficult educational problems, improve academic achievement, provide support for teachers and administrators, and to bring parents into the school-based decision-making process."        - Cobb Council School District Bylaws
