I am honored to serve as Principal of Davis Elementary School.  The passion and dedication of our staff, the special events and traditions provided for students, and the sense of family pervasive through the school define Davis.
For the past 24 years, I have served the Cobb County School District as teacher, area lead teacher, and administrator. As area lead teacher, I worked as a K-5 trainer in multiple schools in the areas of writing, visual organizers, engagement strategies, and utilizing data to drive instruction. I then worked as Assistant Administrator at Pitner Elementary followed by Assistant Principal at East Side Elementary.
I am passionate about providing a quality instructional program as well as educating the whole child through the arts, STEM education, physical education, and character education. I believe in facilitating each child’s discovery of their strengths in order to ignite their curiosity and motivation. Our job in elementary school is to ensure each student receives a strong academic foundation, social skills, and the tools necessary to be successful in their school career and in life. Every child must feel safe, valued, and supported.
On a personal note, I have been married to my wonderful husband for the past 27 years.  He operates a horse training and show barn in the Woodstock area.  When I am away from school, I spend time enjoying our horses and our two French bulldogs, Gooey and Sticky.

I am thrilled to be joining the Davis community as your new Assistant Principal and cannot wait to get to know all the staff, students and families.
As a product of the Cobb County School District myself, I attended Garrison Mill, Mabry and graduated from Lassiter High School. I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Georgia and later went on to pursue my Master and Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, from Kennesaw State University.
I began my teaching career in 2001 with The Cobb County School District. Over my 18 years with the district, I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, as well as serving 2 different schools as Academic Coach. I began at Brumby Elementary and then taught at Powers Ferry and Bells Ferry, before spending the last 5 years as Assistant Principal of Shallowford Falls Elementary School. I love coming to work each day and I am eager to continue my leadership journey with the Davis students and staff.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Jonathan, for 15 years and we have 3 beautiful children: Hudson (11 years old), Grant (7 years old) and Harper (5 years old). When I am not busy chasing my kiddos around, I enjoy exercising, cooking and Georgia football.
I look forward to partnering with you all to make a positive impact in the lives of our students. I believe in building strong relationships with students and creating a positive collaborative culture, where teaching and learning occurs at high levels to ensure Cobb continues to be the best place to teach, lead and learn.

I am excited to be back at Davis again this year serving as School Leadership Intern.
Marietta has been home to me since 1995.  I attended Dickerson Middle School and graduated in 2002 from Walton High School.  I earned my undergraduate degrees in Foreign Language Education and Spanish from the University of Georgia and went on to persue my Master of Education in Early Childhood from UGA in 2007.  In 2009, I earned my specialist degree in Educational Leadership.
I began my career in education in 2007.  I have served as a classroom teacher in kindergarten and 2nd grade, and as a support teacher in English as a Second Language.
When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband of 12 years, David, and our 2 children, Brooke (6) and Andrew (4).
