Foundation Programs

The Foundation will focus on the following three initiatives:

Academic Scholarships for Students
These $1,000 post-secondary scholarships are awarded to two seniors at each of the 15 High Schools in the Cobb County School District. They are awarded based on financial need, school and community involvement, outstanding leadership and strong academic achievement. The recipients are chosen through an application review and recognition process and awarded in the Spring.

Kids First! After School Program (ASP) Scholarships
Ensuring all students are safe after school, Kids First was established to offer scholarships for the After School Program (ASP) for students in-need. By caring for the whole student, we help to promote a successful educational environment for all children Cobb cares for kids.

Educational Impact Grants
This program rewards innovative ideas in teaching that impact student learning. Educational grants for a teacher or team of teachers, specialists or school would allow for the implementation of educational programs and initiatives in the classroom or school that would otherwise go unfunded. Grants to teachers will provide start up funds, enable collaboration, recognize creativity and help teachers bring learning to life in creative ways.

Each teacher wishing to receive a Grant must complete an Educational Impact Grant application. Grants will be reviewed twice a year. Grants awarded will range from $250 to $2,500. Contact the Cobb Educational Foundation for details concerning these grants.
