Cobb County School District to provide opportunities for system personnel to
develop, increase, and improve the knowledge, skills, and dispositions
necessary for school leaders of the future.

The Leadership Academy Curriculum:

Leadership Academy for Prospective
Administrators:
This academy is for teachers, ILT's,
counselors, etc., who are enrolled in a college/university Educational
Leadership certification or degree program.
Leadership Academy for Beginning Administrators : This academy is
designed for beginning assistant administrators with two (2) years or less
experience as an assistant or equivalent Central Office position and who have completed a minimum of twenty (20)
hours in an administrative certification or degree program. Completion of a
leadership certification or degree is preferred.
Leadership Academy for Aspiring Principals: This
academy is for experienced assistant/associate principals aspiring to become
principals who have more than two (2) years experience as an assistant
principal or associate principal or equivalent Central Office position.

- Current Resume
- Recommendation form given to principal at
the school where you are presently working
Summary:
- Up to twenty-five (25) applicants
will be selected by Human Resources for each Leadership Academy
- Deadline for submitting application
materials is May each year and should be submitted to Human
Resources
- Candidates will be notified of selection
during the summer by Human Resources
- Each Leadership Academy meets every month
from 8:30 to 3:30
- The Leadership Academy schedule can be
obtained from the Leadership Development Office
