   Education: Bachelor of Social Work, Eastern connecticut State Univ.

                         Minor in Fine Arts/Dance

                     Master of Social Work, Springfield College

Bethany Knapp resides with her partner and two daughters, ages 9 and 12.  She enjoys vacationing and taking excursions with her family.  Of course, Bethany wouldn't be who she is without her favorite activity--DANCING!

 

  Special Interests/Training:   Peer mediation, facilitator of Institutes for the Healing of Racism, mentor for teen parenting, fatherhood concerns and co-parenting mediator

 

 Community Involvement:  School Social Worker Association of Georgia (SSWAG), YWCA volunteer--Coordinator for Curvation Project Confidence Outreach program, Simpson dance Team Coach, Teaches team dance express (a social/fitness group at Addison Elementary and Blackwell Elementary), Power over Prejudice school leader

 

 Social Work Philosophy:  I operate on the strengths perspective and eco-system theory.
