Dear Fair Oaks Families;

Standard Dress Attires are an essential part of the climate of schools.  At Fair Oaks Elementary School, it is no different.  Our goal is always to provide an environment that is free of distractions, safe, orderly, and conducive to learning.  Over the past year, I have spoken to parents and developed surveys to gain parent feedback on moving to a school-wide Standard Dress Attire policy. From those conversations, and through the results of the survey, you have spoken.  We will institute a Standard Dress Attire policy at Fair Oaks Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year.

Included with this letter, you will find the new Fair Oaks Elementary School Student Standard Dress Attire Requirements.  This represents many months of collaborative work on the part of parents and school staff.  From an administrative perspective, this new Standard Dress Attire will be easier to enforce while allowing us to meet the goal of a distraction-free environment in our school.

We are sending this information to you now so that you can plan for the 2019-2020 school year. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 678-594-8080 ext. 010 or Dean.Yoder@cobbk12.org.  Thank you for your support of this effort. We look forward to working with you as we cultivate a positive change.

Thank you for your continued support,
