We believe strongly in the dignity and worth of each student and staff member at Garrison Mill, as well as the parents of these students and those who live in the community at large.

All students should be accepted as capable individuals who, through encouragement from parents, peers, staff and community, become productive members of society.

We believe the staff should meet the intellectual, emotional, and physical needs of each child using a variety of activities in a risk-free environment.

Each child should be educated at his/her personal developmental level and be given a chance to reach his/her full potential.

Each child has a right to learn in a safe, caring environment and be given the opportunity to succeed.

The educational process is the collaborative responsibility of students, staff, parents, and community.
