General Information About ASP

ASP students have the opportunity to watch movies during ASP hours. Cobb County School District guidelines only allow G-rated movies. Movies such as Disney, Pixar, etc. may be rated “PG”. We would like to show PG movies that are age appropriate to our 2nd-5th graders. (K/1st grade students will only watch G-rated movies). ASP staff will screen movies prior to showing. A list of all PG movies will be available for you to review. If you do NOT want your child to watch a PG-rated movie, you must OPT OUT. Please complete the “OPT OUT” form provided at the ASP desk and return this form to ASP. This form will be kept on file for this school year. Students who cannot watch PG-rated movies would watch a G-rated movie in a different room.

ASP Online Payment

ASP Credit Card Payments

Parents may continue to make credit card payments over the summer to their Student’s ASP account via the MyPaymentsPlus website and the payments will be credited to the account accordingly. Parents MAY NOT make ASP tuition payments using the MyPaymentsPlus iApp on their iPhone and iPad, as this feature is not yet active. Payments made using the MyPaymentsPlus App will be applied to meal payments for the cafeteria, not ASP.

Medication Policy

ASP can only administer prescription medications that are required during ASP hours. We do not administer over the counter medications during ASP. Should your child become ill enough to require over the counter medications, we will contact you to pick your child up from ASP. An “Authorization to Give Medication at School” form must be on file before any medication can be administered during ASP hours. If you have questions about medication please contact our nurse Susan Headrick at 678-494-7836 or by email at

Keheley Citizenship Statement

We, the Keheley Cougars, will respect others and ourselves. We will accept personal responsibility for our actions and our attitudes. We will show civility to all and, through our commitment and cooperation, will help ensure the safety of our school and community.

At Keheley, we will not tolerate hurtful acts or violence, such as any mean look, word, sign, or act that hurts a person’s body, feelings, or things.

Our after school program follows the Citizenship Statement. ASP rules are the same as those that are enforced during the school day.

Behavior Policy

Our ASP staff works very hard to maintain a safe environment for your children. A big part of this is done by enforcing the ASP rules with consistency and understanding. Some infractions for which your child may receive an official write-up are:

1. Physical contact (fighting, pushing, hurting another child)

2. Disrespect to staff members (arguing, talking back, being rude)

3. Disobeying staff members (not following rules or directions)

4. Throwing rocks, sticks, dirt, pine cones, etc.

5. Inappropriate language-swearing

6. Defacing and/or destroying school or peer’s property

7. Leaving a supervised area without permission

The following consequences will be implemented if ASP rules are not followed:

1. First Write-Up: The Director or ASP Desk Worker will contact parent about the offense committed. Depending on the severity of the offense, your child may be suspended for one to several days.

2. Second Write-Up: Same as #1.

3. Third Write-Up: Same as #1 and #2, but in addition, the child will be suspended from the program for the remainder of the school year.

Our goal is to make your child’s stay in ASP a positive and rewarding experience. Please discuss the above behaviors and consequences with your child or children as we are requesting your support and cooperation in helping us maintain an environment where your children feel safe. Please know that ASP has the right to dismiss a child from ASP permanently if he or she consistently engages in behaviors that violate school rules and policies.

If you have any additional questions about the program, please contact Lori Armbruster -ASP director
