Athletic Physicals for the 2013-2014 School Year-Read Below

If you have a son or daughter that is going to participate in athletics here at Kell or in any of the Junior Programs through Kell in 2013-2014 I have a great opportunity for you.  On Wednesday, April 24th at 5:00 pm.  Dr. Ched Garten of MYERS SPORTS MEDICINE  and his staff will be conducting ALL SPORTS PHYSICALS at KELL HIGH SCHOOL.  Dr. Garten is currently the team orthopedic doctor for Kell Longhorn Football.
This physical will be good for the entire 2013-2014 school year for all athletics in Cobb County. A physical is required for athletic participation at the high school level but it is a great idea to get a physical before participating in any athletic activity.

  • April 8th-12th-Spring Break-No school!
  • April 16th and 18th-LEAP Tutoring from 3:45-4:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 16th-Seniors need to pick up Graduation Caps and Gowns and Graduation Announcements during lunches on this day! Payments and orders can be made at www.herffatlanta.com
  • Tuesday, April 16th, Wednesday, April 17th and Thursday, April 18th-Algebra EOCT Review Sessions from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

 


November 11, 2012- Kell Football and other Kell Student Volunteers participated in a Habitat for Humanity service project on Sunday, Nov. 11th. These students and parent volunteers planted 1,000 pine tree seedlings in the Verbena Way neighborhood in Atlanta to beautify the neighborhood and provide a future sound barrier between the neighborhood and highway I-20. October 23, 2012- Kell students partnered with Piedmont Baptist Church for "Operation Christmas Child", a project sponsored by Samaritan's Purse which sends shoeboxes with small Christmas gifts to underprivileged children around the world. Kell students donated 132 boxes which was double the amount that was donated from Kell students last year. Way to go!
    

October 20, 2012- The Kell Varsity Football Team spent a Saturday morning cleaning up Lake Road as a community service project. Thanks KHS Football for taking pride in our community. Here are photos:
    

September 27, 2012-Congratulations to Coach Steve Lattizori! Not only is he Kell's Teacher of the Year for 2012 but he was named the Georgia Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (GAPHERD) Secondary Teacher of the Year for 2012. This is a statewide honor and Coach Lattizori was selected among all secondary P.E. teachers in Georgia for this award. He will receive this award on November 12, 2012 at an awards ceremony in Savannah at the annual GAPHERD convention. Way to go Coach Lattizori-the Kell community is proud of you!



September 22, 2012-"The HERD Helps the Community"-On Saturday, September 22nd, Senior students from the HERD volunteered their time to paint and clean up the grounds at Special Equestrians of Georgia. Special Equestrians of Georgia is a non-profit organization that works with physically and mentally disabled kids to provide therapeutic riding groups. Here are some photos from the event.



September 11, 2012-The Student Government Association created a display of American flags in front of Kell High School to honor all the people who lost their lives in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. Here are photos of the display.



September 7, 2012-It was Military Appreciation Night at halftime during the Kell vs. Woodstock football game. Kell High School honors and applauds all of our veterans that have so proudly served our country and we thank you for your sacrifices so that we continue to enjoy the freedoms we have in this country.
