A Message from Our Principal

Welcome to Kennesaw Mountain High School, a place focused on excellence in academics, community service, character, fine arts, and athletics.  Our students have achieved success with the support of our exceptional staff, committed parents, and dedicated community members.  We focus on creating a positive and meaningful learning environment that encourages students to strive for their maximum potential.  Challenging courses are offered to prepare students for successful futures upon their graduation.  Our highly qualified staff utilizes standardized test data and frequent assessments in classes to help tailor the instructional program to meet the needs of the students.  We are also proud of our athletics and Fine Arts Programs, which have demonstrated success in fostering good sportsmanship, teamwork, and creativity among our students, in addition to earning many prestigious awards.  Kennesaw Mountain has been recognized as one of the Model Schools in the nation by the International Center for Leadership in Education.  We also look forward each year to celebrating cherished Mustang traditions such as Homecoming, Shop With A Mustang, a Valentine’s Day Dance for Special Education students from Cobb County, Prom, Relay for Life supporting the American Cancer Society, and the Graduation Ceremony.  We dedicate ourselves to hundreds of hours of community service each year to provide hope and encouragement to the citizens of Kennesaw, and to instill good citizenship traits in our students.  We would be honored to have you visit us at Kennesaw Mountain High School, and we welcome you to our family!
