Summer Office Hours
We hope you are having a safe and fun-filled summer. We are open to serve you Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The office will be closed Monday, June 20 – Monday, July 4 and will reopen on Tuesday, July 5.
Summer Meet and Greet
You are cordially invited to meet your teachers, principal, and administrators at Meet and Greet on Thursday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m.
You will report directly to 1st period class for a brief presentation beginning promptly at 5:30 p.m.The 1st period rosters will be
available online and at school on July 28.
Lindley 6th Grade Academy Summer Reading
All rising 6rh graders will need to read two books over the summer break. One informative text and one

Acceptable School Attire
Students are expected to adhere to the Dress Code Policy of the Cobb County Board of Education (JCDB). Acceptable school attire enhances the overall climate and expectation of the school for students.
Dress Attire checks will take place during first period and throughout the day.

We are excited to welcome your student to Lindley 6th Grade Academy for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year.
As we prepare to receive your student, we would like to provide you with an opportunity to sign up for our
performing arts classes as well as our Spanish classes. Students who wish to excel in Band, Chorus, and/or
Orchestra need to take advantage of the opportunities we offer here at Lindley 6th Grade Academy. Please be

Summer Reading Kickoff Party
• We are excited to partner with our very own CCSD Library Media Department and Cobb County Public Library's
Ready-Set-Read Summer Reading Kickoff Party (Grades PK-8th) Saturday, June 4th. The Title I Department is providing
3 bus stops for the event from Milford Elementary, Mableton Elementary, and Barber Middle School. We encourage parents
to participate and take advantage of all Scholastic and the Public Library will be offering this summer. Click

There will be lots of games, prizes, and a giant soccer ball game for the older students! Have your kids dress up in their
favorite sports wear for the event!! It’s going to be fun!

We encourage visits to our school; however, in order to maintain the safety and security of our school’s campus, please refrain from visiting our campus without an

LSGA Goes to Carnegie Hall
Congratulations to Ms. Crutcher and the LSGA Chorus for their invitation to Sing at Carnegie Hall in June 2016!
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students to not only visit, New York, but sing at the most prestigious
venues in the world for both classical music and popular music.
