End of the Course (Milestone) Testing Information

Parents and students please take the time to review the following links about the End of the Course Tests (Milestone Test). Sample test questions can be found here as well as an informational video about the test. Remember we will begin testing on April 15-24, 2015.

Mableton Day

Join LSGA at Mableton Day on May 16th. Connect and support us by rallying for the Community Spirit Program title on the Mableton Day Facebook page.  This is an awesome way to show community spirit, promote Mableton Day, and build mountains of points for our school.  Click Here to see the Non-Profits that are off to a great start to win the 10th Annual Mableton Day Spirit award.
Mableton Day 2015 is set for May 16th with expanded hours of 8am to 4pm.

Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia Parent Survey is also modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions. Parents please follow the link to take a brief survey about your experience with Lindley Sixth Grade Academy. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.


Teacher's Lunch Box

Lindley Sixth Grade Academy has partnered with the Daily Grind to introduce a fantastic new way to show teachers how much we appreciate them. Please encourage a teacher today. Buy them a lunch credit and they will know how much you really appreciate them. They will get a tasty lunch delivered to their school and the program will add $1 to a gift card of their choice. Very Important: Leave a note on their board and make their day (they will get this note emailed to them)!

Building Parent Leaders - Road to Graduation

Parents join us at Sky View Professional Center for the opportunity. Parents will learn valuable information about how to help your student be successful and graduate from high school. This conference will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 8:30am - 12:00pm. Please click here for more information.

LSGA Drama News!

Lindley’s drama students participate in the Alliance Theatre’s Collision Plus program through the Lindley Theatre Arts Program under the direction of Ms. Cancer.

In January drama students attend the world premiere of Tuck Everlasting and will continue to participate in pre/post show theatre sessions lead by Ms. Garcia of the Alliance and Lindley’s Theatre Arts Director, Ms. Cancer.


2015-2016 School Choice

The Cobb County School District is again offering School Choice (HB 251 and SB10) transfers for the 2015-2016 school year.  Individual school capacity information and applications will be available beginning February 1, 2015 on the District website.  For more information, please see our 2015-16 School Choice webpage.

Spelling Bee Winners

Congratulations to Xaniyah Black for winning the school-wide Spelling Bee. She will represent Lindley 6th Grade Academy at the county Spelling Bee. Also an honorable mention goes to Queen Moses as the runner up. She will serve as our alternate participant.

Day of Code

"Build It And They Will Come"

Title I has built ( organized )an exciting year for YOUR parents! Three sessions ( September 13, January 24, and April 11) with the central theme  “Building Parent Leaders” are planned for the 2014-2015 school year. At our kickoff on September 13 we have three exciting speakers:

Washington, D.C. 2015 Spring Trip

School Dress Code

The school dress code is enforced the first day of school. Gentlemen, please remember to purchase a black or brown leather belt. Ladies, all accessories must be in uniformed color and should not be a distraction to the instructional environment. Please see the parent resources tab, Standard School Attire , for more information.
