Title I has built ( organized )an exciting year for YOUR parents! Three sessions ( September 13, January 24, and April 11) with the central theme  “Building Parent Leaders” are planned for the 2014-2015 school year. At our kickoff on September 13 we have three exciting speakers:

Terri Robinson –  Parent Session -  2012 Outstanding Parent Volunteer of the Year for the Cobb County School District – “ Parenting with My Child for Academic Success”

Orchestra Fundraiser

The LSGA Orchestra kicked-off their Palmetto fundraiser on September 5! They are selling cookies, cheesecake, and pretzels. The fundraiser will last until September 22. Help us reach our goal of $2,500!  Please sell and buy all you can to support the LSGA Orchestra!

Title I Parent Engagement Conference

“Building Parent Leaders” will be held on Saturday, September 13th, 2014, at Sky View Professional Center 5805 Dunn Rd. Mableton, Ga. The event will begin at 8:30 and end at Noon. Title I is offering an amazing opportunity for “Building Parent Leaders” our keynote speaker will be Dr. Grant Rivera, CCSD Chief Leadership & Learning Officer. Book Fair Family Event

Reading is the most important skill you can teach your child. We invite you to visit our Scholastic Book Fair and experience the celebration of reading that provides families with the opportunity to get involved in reading. The book fair will be held from October 20 - October 24 during the hours of 9:30am - 4:00pm. Remember a portion of the purchases benefit our school. See you there!

2014-2015 School Choice

The Cobb County School District is again offering School Choice (HB 251 and SB10) transfers for the 2014-2015 school year.  Applications will be available beginning February 10, 2014.  For more information, please see our 2014-15 School Choice website.

Lindley Sixth Grade Academy Recognized

Lindley Sixth Grade Academy has been recognized for being named a Title I Reward school by John D. Barge, State School Superintendent and the Georgia Department of Education. Read the full letter here.

Washington, D.C. 2015 Spring Trip

We plan to travel to Washington, D.C. in May 2015. The price is $547 per person. All interested should prepare to register and pay the $547. Want to know what we plan to do? Watch the video.

School Dress Code

The school dress code is enforced the first day of school. Gentlemen, please remember to purchase a black or brown leather belt. Ladies, all accessories must be in uniformed color and should not be a distraction to the instructional environment. Please see the parent resources tab, Standard School Attire , for more information.
