We are very excited about our upcoming rising 6th Grade LSGA Summer Institute. The LSGA Summer Institute
will expose students to critical thinking skills and problem solving in math, help build and maintain content
and academic vocabulary, and expose students to rigorous interdisciplinary approaches in the areas of Math,

Summer Reading Kickoff Party
• We are excited to partner with our very own CCSD Library Media Department and Cobb County Public Library's
Ready-Set-Read Summer Reading Kickoff Party (Grades PK-8th) Saturday, June 4th. The Title I Department is providing
3 bus stops for the event from Milford Elementary, Mableton Elementary, and Barber Middle School. We encourage parents
to participate and take advantage of all Scholastic and the Public Library will be offering this summer. Click

LSGA Goes to Carnegie Hall
Congratulations to Ms. Crutcher and the LSGA Chorus for their invitation to Sing at Carnegie Hall in June 2016!

Georgia Parent Survey
We need your input for the Georgia Parent Survey. The survey window will be open from October 5, 2015 – February 26, 2016.
Parents/Guardians may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphones or tablet. For parents/guardians who
do not have access to the Internet, you are welcome to come to the school any time between 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. to use our
computers in the media center and/or parent resource center. The Georgia Parent Survey data will be used as part of the
calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia

Washington D.C. Field Trip
The Washington D.C. field trip will take place May 21-25, 2016. The price for students is $589 and $702 for adults. The registration deadline is September 24th. Register today using our Trip ID #116215. There are three
