County Substitute Teacher Job Fair

The Cobb County School District will host TWO Substitute Job Fairs on Tuesday 4/22/14 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.  For applicants interested in substituting for the North Area Schools (North of Powder Springs including North Marietta, East Cobb, Kennesaw and Acworth) the job fair will be held at Piedmont Baptist Church located at 570 Piedmont Road, Marietta, 30066.  For applicants interested in substituting for the South Area Schools (Includes Smyrna, Powder Springs, Austell, and Mableton—South Marietta area), the job fair will be held at Skyview Elementary School located at 5805 Dunn Road, Mableton, 30126. To attend applicants must complete the following REQUIREMENTS:
1-RSVP by sending an email to EITHER  OR You can only RSVP to one fair and this should be the geographic area you plan to work as a substitute. You must RSVP by 4/15/14.

2-Bring a resume with you to the fair detailing all of your work and educational experience.

3-Be prepared to briefly meet with an Administrator.


Performing Arts Announcements

The LSGA Chorus and A Day Band concert will be held on Monday, May 5 at 7pm in the Gym.
 The LSGA Orchestra and B Day Band concert will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 7pm in the Gym.
 The LSGA Orchestra  and Chorus Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30pm in the theater.
Please come and support the band, orchestra and chorus on their Spring Concert and festivities!

2014-15 Re-Enrollment Forms

Students received re-enrollment forms during homeroom. Parents please complete and verify all information. Please return the form to your student's homeroom teacher by March 21.

Career Day

Our 2014 Career Day was held on March 14. Volunteers from our community came and discussed their careers and achievements with our students. Students were engaged in meaningful and encouraging conversations. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all who came to assist.

2014-2015 School Choice

The Cobb County School District is again offering School Choice (HB 251 and SB10) transfers for the 2014-2015 school year.  Applications will be available beginning February 10, 2014.  For more information, please see our 2014-15 School Choice website.

Washington, D.C. Spring Trip

We plan to travel to Washington, D.C. on May 21 - 25, 2014. The price is $547 per person. All interested should register and pay the full $547 amount as soon as possible (or by March 7). Instructional Coaching

The Cobb County School District (CCSD) is committed to improving student achievement through instructional coaching at local schools during the 2013-2014 school year. As a function of this, principals and district officials will spend more time visiting with students and teachers in class throughout the school year. Click here to read the full document. T-PAT - Title I Parent Action Team

We are inviting all parents, guardians, or grandparents to be part of the 2013-2014 Title I Parent Action Team (T-PAT).  We will plan for the 2014-15 school year, Brainstorm ideas on parent involvement, and have input on the Cobb County District LEA Improvement plan. School Dress Code

The school dress code is enforced the first day of school. Gentlemen, please remember to purchase a black or brown leather belt. Ladies, all accessories must be in uniformed color and should not be a distraction to the instructional environment. Please see the parent resources tab, Standard School Attire , for more information.
