Georgia Parent Survey
We need your input for the Georgia Parent Survey. The survey window will be open from October 5, 2015 – February 26, 2016.
Parents/Guardians may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphones or tablet. For parents/guardians who
do not have access to the Internet, you are welcome to come to the school any time between 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. to use our
computers in the media center and/or parent resource center. The Georgia Parent Survey data will be used as part of the
calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia
Department of Education for analysis. We need your input. Click

Two New Video Contests
It is our pleasure to introduce Georgia’s own “Kid Superintendent”
who invites all parents and Title I schools to create a video on how to
get involved in increasing student achievement. Watch Kid Superintendent’s
video messages. The Parent Video is due by 4:00 p.m. on November 16, 2015,
and the Title I School Video is due by 4:00 p.m. on December 1, 2015. Use

to submit the link to the video.
LSGA Goes to Carnegie Hall
Congratulations to Ms. Crutcher and the LSGA Chorus for
their recent invitation to Sing at Carnegie Hall in June 2016!
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students to not
only visit, New York, but sing at the most prestigious venues in
the world for both classical music and popular music. Please
help the chorus raise $100,000 by visiting their
www.gofundme.com/SendLSGAtoCarnegie or sending a direct donation to
the LSGA Chorus. The first NYC Meeting will take place on
October 15 @ 6pm in the Theater. Please contact Ms.Crutcher for
The Carnegie Hall Chorus trip payment #1 is due on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Ms. Crutcher is now only taking 40 students on a first come, first serve basis. Please make sure Ms.Crutcher has your name listed before placing money in the safe.
Washington D.C. Field Trip
The Washington D.C. field trip will take place May 21-25, 2016. The price for students is $589 and $702 for adults. The registration deadline is September 24th. Register today using our Trip ID #116215. There are three
ways to register: Online at www.worldstridesdiscovernow.org (use the Trip ID # listed to register), by phone call the WorldStrides Customer Service Team at 1-800-468-5899

The school dress code is enforced the first day of school. Gentlemen, please remember to purchase a black or brown leather
belt. Ladies, all accessories must be in uniformed color and should not be a distraction to the instructional

appointment. We require all parents and visitors to confirm their visit 24-hours in advance.
