LSGA Receives Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS) Awards
Lindley Sixth Grade Academy receives the Greatest Gain Award in the Gold category for exhibiting high growth in student
achievement by earning a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score in at least the 93rd percentile in the state. LSGA is one
of 25 Cobb schools being recognized out of 218 schools across the State of Georgia.

Cobb County School District Title I Department appreciates the partnerships we have with our families. As the parent/guardian of a child
attending a Title I school you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the
family engagement program and activities in our schools and those provided by the District. The focus of all Title I programs is to help
eligible students meet the same high academic achievement standards expected of all children, regardless of their socioeconomic status and
background. The following surveys are confidential and will be used to assist us with future planning for family engagement initiatives and events.

Braves Opening Week "Can Food Drive"
Our school is helping the Atlanta Braves collect food for Must Ministries as we support the opening of the new Braves stadium at
SunTrust Park. The drive will be conducted April 10-14th. All food should be brought to the homeroom teacher. One student will
win 2 free Braves tickets in a drawing for their donation! Here is a list of the most needed foods:
• Can Fruit (including individual servings)
• Can Meat chicken, tuna, Vienna sausages
• Breakfast items, smaller packages - oatmeal, grits
• Tuna/Chicken Helper
• Juice (plastic bottles ONLY)
• Boxed Potatoes
• Small Snacks for lunch bags
• Cooking Oil (plastic bottles ONLY)
• Mayonnaise (plastic bottles ONLY)

LSGA's food pantry which is sponsored by MUST Ministries. Distribution date is on the 3rd Monday of each month (except June 29th) from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Georgia Parent Survey

Acceptable School Attire
Students are expected to adhere to the Dress Code Policy of the Cobb County Board of Education (JCDB). Acceptable school attire
enhances the overall climate and expectation of the school for students. Dress Attire checks will take place during first period and
throughout the day. The school dress code is enforced the first day of school.

School Choice 2017-2018
The Cobb County School District is again offering School Choice (HB 251 and SB10) transfers for the 2017-2018 school year. Individual school
capacity information and applications will be available beginning February 1, 2017 on the District website. For more information, please see our
2017-18 School Choice webpage. Deadline for applying is Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
