dual language classes

"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, he hears in his head. If you talk to a man in his own language, he hears in his heart."

Nelson Mandela

Mableton Elementary School is proud to implement a strand program of Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion with two classes of Kindergarten students during the 2016-2017 school year. This unique model will provide instruction and support for students in learning both languages. Students will split their day between instruction in Spanish and English. Our plan is to grow this program each year through Grade 5. Our hope is to instill cultural competence and enhance communication among our students and community. Our vision and mission is to develop and honor the greatness in everyone and help every child to become a versatile, well-rounded, successful member of society. Our Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion program will help students to become bi-lingual and bi-literate in an ever changing world.

Students in K-2nd grade were given the opportunity to explore jobs in many fields, including medicine, education, fitness/personal training, engineering, public safety and more.
