New PARCC Practice Tests for Georgia Milestones
During our August Curriculum Night Milestones presentation to parents, administration shared information that reviewing released PARCC test items would allow parents an understanding of  the types of items that their student could experience while taking our new Georgia Milestones. PARCC has released both end of year and performance based assessments for each grade level for ELA and Math. Please note that you will find both a paper/pencil and a computer-based version of each test. Using this and other resources, please work with your  student to understand the rigor and format that will be encountered when taking the Georgia Milestones. Click here  to access released PARCC practice tests.

Keyboarding Skills Essential to Successful Online Assessments
Effective keyboarding will be essential to online assessments that your student will be taking in the future. In the Mountain View Computer Lab, Mrs. Taylor is emphasizing keyboarding as an important skill for students to learn. Please take a moment to look at how you can support your student with practice at home. Click here for instructions on how to download Type to Learn on your home computer. Also, please visit the computer lab blog for further information about Type to Learn.

Georgia Milestones Practice Site:
This practice site lets students, teachers and parents see what testing online is like. The items on the demonstration tests are general and represent multiple grade levels. The items do not necessarily represent the specific grade-level content that students learn daily in their classrooms. The primary purpose is to let students experience, firsthand, the functionality of the online testing platform. The sample tests are not graded, so have fun!
