Student Transfer Information
Sibling Transfers - Parents/guardians of a student who has a sibling already enrolled in a District school through an approved transfer may apply for a younger sibling to attend the same school in accordance with District Administrative Rule JBCD-R. This provision attempts to address siblings enrolled in different schools at the same time due to an approved transfer. A sibling is defined as a brother, sister, step-brother, or step-sister living in the same household and who otherwise meets the requirements for enrollment.  The application window for the 2018-2019 school year will be open from January 4, 2018 through January 31, 2018.

For more information about this opportunity, and for a link to the online application, visit http://www.cobbk12.org/generalinfo/transfers/schoolchoice.aspx.

December Early Release Reminder---Dec. 19 and 20, 2017
Students will be dismissed 2 hours early on Tuesday, December 19 and     Wednesday, December 20, 2017. These are the last two days before the holiday break. This plan is new to our school calendar this year, so be sure to take note and prepare for your child's after school care on those days.
Winter Holidays - December 21 - January 3

Northside Hospital Celebration of Lights Fundraiser

Northside Hospital donates $1000.00 to Nicholson’s families in need by provided health related items. These items are used through out the school year to increase daily attendance and keeps our school safe by giving the items that are needed to keep our kids healthy. If a person donates a dollar, they will receive a Northside Hospital Celebration of Lights Coloring card. These cards will be displayed in our school until pickup. Coloring cards go to the patients in the hospital during the holiday season. Please help us meet our goals!  Please contact Nicholson counselor, Andi Hodgins with any questions.

Send in those Boxtops!!Image result for boxtops
Did you know that each boxtop can bring in 10 cents for our school?  The next submission date is at the end of October, so now is the time to turn in any boxtops you may have collected at home.  You can find boxtops on all sorts of products around the house!  Have your children keep an eye out for them and when you are ready, boxtops can be turned in at the Media Center.

Student Dismissal Transportation Changes
Dismissal is one of the most important times in our day.  We work hard to ensure that our students get to their afterschool destination safely.  We will not take transportation changes over the phone, via fax or via email.  This is a safety measure that we MUST enforce to keep your child safe.  The Nicholson Transportation Change form, with a signature, must be sent in with your student in order for us to change your student’s afternoon transportation.  If the student arrives in the morning without this form the parent/guardian must come into the front office to fill one out since a signature is mandatory.

If you are picking up your student at dismissal and do not have a carpool tag, it is necessary for you to come into the front office and show identification before we can release the student into your custody.

All early dismissals or transportation changes must be received before 1:45 pm.

  New!! Car Rider Dismissal Expectations
Please review with your children!

1. Students are expected to be silent.

2. Students are expected to sit in their zone.

3. Students are expected to follow staff directions.

*Staff will be handing out Star Bucks during dismissal as positive reinforcement.

*If parents do not have their car tag, they are expected to come inside to sign out their child. This is to ensure your child’s safety.
