Dual Language Immersion Kindergarten 2017-2018

Norton Park Elementary will provide two classes of upcoming Kindergarten and two first grade students with a Dual Language Immersion Program to develop and prepare linguistic and academic competencies in two languages, to be highly engaged and contributing global citizens. Within the program, Dual Language Immersion students will become bilingual, biliterate and develop positive cross-cultural attitudes and behaviors. The program will integrate native Spanish-speaking students and native English speaking students to promote bilingualism, biliteracy, grade-level academic achievement, and positive cross-cultural awareness.

Sibling Transfers - Parents/guardians of a student who has a sibling already enrolled in a District school through an approved transfer may apply for a younger sibling to attend the same school in accordance with District Administrative Rule JBCD-R. This provision attempts to address siblings enrolled in different schools at the same time due to an approved transfer. A sibling is defined as a brother, sister, step-brother, or step-sister living in the same household and who otherwise meets the requirements for enrollment.  The application window for the 2018-2019 school year will be open from January 4, 2018 through January 31, 2018.

Any changes in dismissal requires a written note from home. All changes must be received before 1:45 p.m.

The last time for early check out is 1:50 p.m.
