Oakwood Students Present Their Senior Projects

Graduating twelfth graders attending Oakwood Digital Academy presented their senior projects Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in our campus’s media center. Most students opted to create PowerPoint presentations which explained their future goals and how they planned on achieving them. Students also had to create a resume and a cover letter, complete a job application, submit a college application, and obtain three letters of reference as part of their senior projects. During the 2013-2014 school year, over 100 Cobb County students completed their graduation requirements through our program.

Students Participate in Chattahoochee Technical College “First Friday”

Three students from Oakwood Digital Academy participated in the Chattahoochee Technical College “First Friday” event on November 1, 2013 after learning about it at our third annual College and Career Fair. It was a great experience for all three of them.  They were able to tour the North Atlanta Metro Campus, meet representatives from the financial aid office, admissions office, and student affairs.

We are excited that our students are exploring post-secondary options and appreciate the partnership we have with Chattahoochee Technical College! They do a great job of participating in all our college fairs and exposing our students to their campus.
