The AMIGOS Leadership Group’s Mission is to provide mentorship and leadership opportunities to young men who are leaders within the seventh and eighth grades. The goal of the program is to promote academics and leadership skills while fostering positive and respectful relationships, and to guide young men to become powerful leaders both on and off campus.

Courtesy to Life
This is a community service club open to 7th and 8th graders that will teach students leadership skills and provide community service projects to those in need. CTL’s mission is to build strong leaders who will show compassion, trust, and leadership within their own communities. Meetings will be every Wednesday from 8:45-9:10. Ms. Faciane

Drama Club

Auditions for Drama Club and the school musical will be September 12th and 14th, 2017. Drama Club rehearses most Thursdays from 4:20pm-6pm beginning in October until showtime in late April.  For more info, visit the Drama website:

Ms. Hemmings, Ms. Snell, and Mr. Hoover

Math Team Math Team will explore higher level problems and compete with other students across the county/state. Students will develop problem solving strategies and logical reasoning skills, history and references. Ms. Wilbur

Media Mustangs

This program is an opportunity for students who enjoy working in the Media Center. Responsibilities include shelving books, maintaining Media Center computers, updating the daily closed circuit Power Point slideshow, and more! Applications are taken in August and January; members must maintain a B average and all satisfactory conduct grades. Training is provided.

Mustang Singers

The Mustang Singers is an auditioned group of singers from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Students must be members of the Pine Mountain Chorus to be members. The Mustang Singers rehearse year-long on most Mondays from 4:20pm-5:30pm. The groups perform on and off campus for various exciting community events. Ms. Hemmings

News Team

The News Team delivers the daily morning announcements. Applications are accepted in late spring for the upcoming school year. An interview/audition process is required and students must maintain high academic and conduct grades in all classes. Once accepted to the news team, students are trained in all aspects of the morning television broadcast.  Students will be asked to arrive before school for set-up and training purposes. Students must have transportation to arrive before school on their assigned day.

Pretty Brainy The club is to empower 7th and 8th grade girls to develop their genius and abilities in science – so they positively impact their communities and world. This will include activities, guest speakers, and other science related experiences. Applications will be available during the club fair at open house. Dues: $20 Ms. Brownlee and Ms. Snell

Student Council

The PMMS Student Council (formerly known as Student Forum) is an organization of student representatives elected from each grade level.  The purpose is to provide opportunities for student leadership, to provide various activities for students, to promote school spirit, and to encourage school and community service. Students will participate in a leadership conference at the state capital. Service projects include a food drive, Spirit Week, Teacher/student incentives, and EOG (End of Grade) promotion.

FLY (Front Line Youth)

A non-school sponsored organization open to all students in grades 6-8. FLY meets every Friday at 8:00am in the gym. Students participate in Bible study, music, games, skits, and other activities.
