As you start to shop for the
upcoming school year, please keep these dress code
guidelines in mind:
Students are expected to
dress and groom to reflect neatness, cleanliness, and
modesty, as well as a sense of pride in themselves and
the school. Dress must neither distract
unreasonably the attention of others, nor cause
disruption or interference with the educational program
or with the orderly operation of the school.
These minimum standards should help define
appropriate dress:

Clothing must be modest
and not revealing or provocative. Tank tops,
sleeveless shirts, and spaghetti strap tops are not permitted.

Shorts, skirts and dresses/long
tops, with or without leggings, more thant two
inches above the knee are inappropriate.

All undergarments must be
covered at all times.

Jeggings, leggings, spandex leg
coverings, and biking shorts are not permitted.

Pants must be worn at the waist
line. Baggy pants worn below the waistline
(sagging) and pajama pants are not permitted.

Bandanas, head coverings,
headbands, and hats are not allowed.

Clothing that displays,
advertises, or promotes obscene slogans or signs,
profanity, or any substance that is illegal for
minors, such as beer, tobacco, etc., and clothing or
ornamentation that advocates, promotes , or suggests
illegal activity (including gang activity) is
prohibited.
Dress Code Consequences:
First Offense:
Warning issued (written referral submitted) and students
will be allowed to change clothes, to call home for
someone to bring a change of clothes and to return to
classes. Missed classes will be unexcused.
Students will be admitted back to class only through the
administration. Students who cannot change clothes will
stay in ISS the rest of the day.
Second Offense:
Students will conference with administration, a parent
will be notified, and one day ISS.
Third Offense:
Students will conference with administration, a parent
will be notified, and two days ISS.
