Smyrna Elementary Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion
Smyrna Elementary School is proud to continue implementation of a strand program of Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion with two classes of Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade students during the 2017-2018 school year. This unique model will provide instruction and support for students in learning both languages. Students will split their day between instruction in Spanish and English. Our plan is to grow this program each year through Grade 5. Our hope is to instill cultural competence and enhance communication among our students and community. Our vision and mission is to develop and honor the greatness in everyone and help every child to become a leader. Our Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion program will help students to become bi-lingual and bi-literate in an ever-changing world.
