School Council 2009-2010

Our goal for the 2009 – 2010 school year is to strengthen and grow community partnerships to foster understanding of current learning processes.

·         Jill Barrett - Parent Member (serving 2nd year)

·         Karen Stott - Parent Member  (serving 1st year)

·         Karen Casto - Teacher Member

·         Becky Peninger - Teacher Member

·         Dr. Barbara L. Swinney – Principal

All meetings will take place at Vaughan Elementary at 9 a.m. in the Professional Learning Room.

School councils are intended to bring the schools, parents, and community together to:

·         Improve communication and the understanding of issues

·         Address difficult educational problems

·         Improve academic achievement

·         Provide support for teachers and administrators

Vaughan’s school council is an advisory body that aims to foster better understanding and mutual respect for school and community concerns and promote ideas for school improvement.
