"REACHING NEW HEIGHTS TOGETHER"
Established in 1996 and bearing the name of State Representative John
"Jack" Dixon Vaughan, Jr., this institution has taken on its namesake's
strong commitment to education, mirroring his aspirations for
excellence in learning among young Cobb County students.
Science Fair
Vaughan hosted the Tom Mathis Science Fair Thursday night, March 11, 2010. There were 11 schools that participated with 112 projects. Vaughan walked away with two 1st place winners! Congratulations goes to Bradley Stamper for winning for 1st Grade, and Ashley Freedman for winning for 3rd Grade! Way to go!!
Writing Fair
Congratulations also goes to Mary Cannon for being the district winner of the Writing Fair for 1st Grade! She will now be entered in the state level competition. Drew Capuano was a district finalist in 4th grade and is invited to the Author's celebration in April. Way to go Mary and Drew!
