Wheeler Experiences Significant Graduation Growth

The Georgia Department of Education just revealed the 4 Year Graduation Rate for the 2012 School Year. I am proud to announce the Wheeler’s Graduation Rate increased from 64% in 2011 to 70.43% in 2012. The 4 Year 2012 Graduation rate will be used to calculate our 2013 CCRPI (College and Career Readiness Index), which will be announced next fall.

Rising Seniors, please contact Studio 7 (refer to the information in the flyer) to schedule your portrait with them.   

For those using a separate vendor, please have your portrait taken according to the following guidelines: 

1.       You must submit a formal portrait (i.e. in a tuxedo or black velvet drape) for the yearbook.

2.       You must also submit a casual portrait for possible use in the yearbook.

3.       Your background must be either black or bracken brown.

4.       In order to be placed in the yearbook, ALL SENIOR PORTRAITS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY OCTOBER 21, 2013.

Summer Work Assignments/Packets

All students, without regard to their academic levels, have summer work to complete.  Regardless of when their schedules indicate the courses will be taken, students should complete the work over the summer.  Please click here to find the appropriate summer work for your child/children. 

Main Office Summer Hours:

Due to construction, beginning June 10th, the School Office will be temporarily located in Room 310, in the “Church” building.   The office will be open Monday – Thursday from 8:00 AM – 12:00 and 12:30- 4:00 PM.  The office will be closed for July 4^th.  Certificates  of Attendance for Drivers’ Permits ADAP Certificates and Work Permit forms will be available. There is a charge of $2.00 for Certificates of Attendance.  Identification must be shown at time of request for any of these forms. Please call for further information.   

School Counseling Office Hours

The Counseling Office will be open this summer, however, office hours will be limited.  Due to the construction, the Counseling Office will be temporarily located in the “Church” building in the lower level.  Posted signs will direct you to our location when on campus.

Office Hours:  Every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 to 12:00

 Enrollment for the 2013-2014 School Year

By appointment only

 Please be sure to bring the following documents with you to your appointment:

o   Immunization Form, #3231 – must be dated within one year of the date of enrollment

o   Eye, Ear & Dental Form, #3300

o   Withdrawal form with grades from the former high school.  Incoming 9^th Graders must provide their final 8^th grade report card with  Proof of Promotion to the 9^th Grade.

o   Copy of the Birth Certificate, state identification card or passport

o   Copy of the Social Security card

o   Parents must provide two proofs of residency – please contact the office for acceptable documentation.
