In the case of illness, students
may be tested after the scheduled
testing period. If a situation arises
that prevents a student from taking a
final exam, he or she must seek
permission from the principal prior to
the finals by sending a note or email
from the parent/guardian to take the
final(s) upon return from winter break.
The final(s) must be made-up within the
first ten days of second semester and it
is the student's responsibility to

PTSA Open House Date Change
The PTSA Spring Open House is scheduled

Congratulations to the Juniors in the
Class of 2016 who received their Class
Rings at an official Ring Ceremony on
Thursday, November 6, 2014. With
this ceremony, the juniors are

conducts the Honoring our Heroes essay
contest to allow students to celebrate
and recognize their hero. It might be a
family member, a friend, a teacher, or a
mentor. Think about who your hero is and
get started now! Essays will be
collected in January.
CCSD Updates Enrollment Protocol
and safety of our students and school
staffs is our highest priority. National
and international health authorities are
currently working to manage an ongoing
outbreak of the Ebola virus disease in
several countries in West Africa. The
Cobb County School District has released
an update to the Enrollment Protocol as
well a letter to parents informing them

Although AP Exams are not until May,
students may begin registering on
October 20, 2014, through March 20,
2015. Students interested in
taking advantage of the AP Alternate
Final Exam policy for Fall semester must
register for AP Exams for Fall classes

Next Wildcat Wednesday - TBD
Wildcat Wednesday is a fantastic time for remediation and
extension opportunities for all Wheeler students. Juniors
and seniors who made all A's and B's last semester are eligible
to leave if they returned their signed parent permission form.

School bus routes for the 2014-2015 school year
are now available on the CCSD web site at

prior to the first day of school.
Spring 2015 Student Parking
With the addition of the new bus port and
parking lot, students will be able to park in the lower parking
again!! With the new lots we are going to make Northside Drive
(road alongside the Auditorium and new bus port) a two way road
for the entrance and exit to the lower lot.
Parking Permits will be presold starting
Wednesday, December 10 thru Wednesday, December 17. Forms are
available at the link below and can be turned in to Mrs. Losner
in the main office between 9 AM and 2 PM. Incomplete forms will
not be accepted and forms will also not be accepted for students
with outstanding fines. Parking Permits are for one semester.
APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON
FINAL EXAM DAYS, DECEMBER 18-DECEMBER 19, 2014. NO
EXCEPTIONS!!! Sale of parking applications will resume
after the winter break.

This year Wheeler
Athletics will sponsor a tailgate party before each home
football game. The Wheeler tailgate party is a social
event / pep rally that will be held in the south end of our bus
port. Tailgating, an American tradition, involves playing loud
music, participating in leisure games, and grilling food.
Tailgate parties usually occur in parking lots at stadiums,
before games. Many people participate even if their
vehicles do not have a tailgate. In schools and communities
throughout the United States, there are athletic departments,
coaches and parents of student athletes who rely on pre-game
tailgating parties to build community and support for their
program and team. Wheeler’s Tailgate was developed to energize
the Wildcat Nation and establish a strong core of support year
every home Varsity Football game at 4:30 PM

Test Drive a New Chevrolet and Support
Wheeler! Wheeler has a chance to receive a monetary donation
from Steve Rayman Chevrolet through an upcoming “Test Drive
Period.” You can go to Steve Rayman Chevrolet at 2155 Cobb
Parkway in Marietta and for each test drive through the rest of
November Wheeler will receive a $50 donation, new or pre-owned.
Once you make your test drive, ask for a voucher that gives you
a code and directs you online to
enter the code and select Wheeler High School. It’s that
easy! Last year we raised over $1100 dollars. We are competing
against Osborne High School! Also, from now through the end of
the year, our school will get a $100 donation per new and
pre-owned car bought by a Wheeler family.
