The Cobb County
Police Department has notified Wheeler Administration
that parking will no longer be
allowed along Club Way. Club Way is the
street adjacent to the East Cobb Middle School parking lot
that is currently being used for carpool pick up. Anyone who
lines up along Club Way to wait for their student may be
ticketed. If you are picking up your student at school
dismissal; please park in the ECMS parking lot.
Attention Seniors: Please go to the
Senior Information Page for updates on the graduation
ceremony, graduation practices, baccalaureate, etc.
The Senior information page is listed under the "Student
Activities" Tab.

Wheeler
High School’s Summer Credit Recovery Program for Summer 2012
Our goal
is to provide the students with two sessions that will run
for two hours each. The first session will be 8-10 a.m. and
a 30 minute window for students to leave and come for the
second session. The second session will be from 10:30
a.m.-12:30 p.m..
We plan to offer these courses:
Biology,
Chemistry, Physics, US History, Economics, Government, World
History, 9th Grade Literature, American
Literature, British Literature, Multicultural Literature,
Math 2, GPS Algebra, , Math 3, Spanish 2 and Remediation for
the GHSGT and EOCT
Students must submit a
contract to either an administrator or school
counselor. Faxes, e-mails, and telephone calls WILL
NOT suffice for sign-up.

are excited to announce Wheeler's partnership with Georgia
Natural Gas and the TrueBlue Schools program. The funds raised
from this program will support instruction, athletics,
workshops, conferences, and much more around Wheeler. The

Ellen Levine, Wheeler’s
MOID teacher, was announced as the new
Teacher of the
Year at a faculty meeting on Monday, April 30th.
Mrs. Levine has served Wheeler as a Special Education
teacher for 20 years.
Her involvement in the Wheeler community has continuously
extended beyond the classroom through numerous extra-curricular
activities and as a parent of three Wheeler graduates.
Levine currently sponsors the
Wheeler Jewish Club
and the Harry Potter
Alliance.

Congratulations to Wheeler's Classified Employee of the Year
- Susan Searle. Ms. Searle is the Scheduling and Genesis
Clerk. She has served in her current position since 2007.

Wheeler High School is
Celebrating!
Wheeler is being recognized as a
“No Place for Hate”
school. Wheeler
is the first Cobb County high school to receive this
distinction.
Staff, student, and PTSA diversity programs qualified
Wheeler for this honor from the Anti-Defamation League
(ADL). The ADL
also nominated Wheeler for a V-103 radio station
“Highlight Nice
Award” and Wheeler won!
The ADL and V-103 will be at
Wheeler
High School Thursday, May 3rd at 10:00AM in the
Lipscomb Gym lobby for the banner and awards
presentation.
The presentation will be followed by a small
reception.
