Summer Office Hours in Admin I
Throughout the summer, Admin I will be
open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday
through Thursday. It will be
closed for lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 pm.
The school will be closed on Fridays

Championship in the Long Jump!
Wheeler named as one of America's Most
Challenging High Schools
The Washington post published their list
of America’s Most Challenging High
Schools. Rankings are computed through
an index formula that calculates the
number of Advanced Placement,
International Baccalaureate, and
Advanced International Certificate of
Education tests given at a school each
year, divided by the number of seniors
who graduated that year. This year, only
11 percent of the approximately 22,000
U.S. public high schools were placed on
this national list.
Wheeler ranked as #1212 in the Nation
and #61 in the state of Georgia.
Wheeler Math Team places 3rd at State
Congratulations to the Wheeler Math
Team, who placed 3rd at the state
mathematics tournament. Wheeler's
team consisted of
Alissa Ji, Kevin Sholl, Henrik Boecken
and Michael Li.
Wheeler mathematics teacher Amanda
Morton coached the team.
Cobb Schools Foundation Scholarship
Congratulations to Elizabeth
Blackstock and Joanne Thomas
for winning the Cobb Schools Foundation
Scholarship. Each of these young
ladies received a $1,000 scholarship.
The scholarships were awarded based on
academics, extracurricular activities,
leadership, and essay.
Congratulations to Mihir
Bellamkonda, Ari Satinoff, and Nathanael
placing first in the Giant Leap to Mars
category at the Conrad Innovation
Challenge at the Kennedy Space Center.
The Wheeler Magnet team designed a
bioreactor for energy production on a
