Senior Project Judges Needed
Senior Project is Thursday, November 19, and we are in need of 150 community judges. At 4:45 PM a delicious buffet is provided by Wheeler Culinary Arts under the guidance of Ms. Lyvonda Crumb. After a brief training session, judges begin listening to student presentations at 6:30 PM. Each panel of judges will have the opportunity to judge 5 or 6 students. The success of Senior Project is dependent upon the support of our community judges. If you have friends and co-workers that might be interested encourage them to join you in an evening at Wheeler. Sign up by emailing Faye Oakley at wheelerseniorproject@yahoo.com or Faye.Oakley@cobbk12.org.

Alcohol Task Force Starts Youth Council
The Cobb Alcohol Taskforce is launching a Youth Council in 2010 and invites middle- and high-schoolers who live in Cobb County to apply. The Youth Council will begin with a summit in February at which delegates will receive leadership training and discuss ways to change the alcohol environment in their communities. The council then is expected to meet twice a year. Delegates also will be considered members of the Cobb Alcohol Taskforce and as such will have chances to attend state and national conferences. The application and more information are available at the Cobb Alcohol Taskforce’s Web site at www.cobbat.org. Applications are due Dec. 16, and as many as 100 Youth Council members will be selected in early January.
