The 2014 GED® test is made up of four (4) sections and is offered in both English and Spanish:

  • Reasoning through Language Arts

  • Mathematical Reasoning

  • Science

  • Social Studies

The cost for testing is $40 per test section (there is a discounted rate for retesting).  You must receive a score of 150 or higher for each of the four (4) sections of the test in order to receive your GED® credential.  With these new tests you can now receive a GED® Score with Honors if you score above 170 for each section.

If you are 18 and older and would like to take the test, you register on-line at www.GED.com or call 1-877-EXAM-GED (392-6433).  Here you will create an account, complete registration, schedule and pay for testing. 

If you are 16 or 17 you MUST complete the requirements set by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) in order to be eligible to take the tests.  Please visit www.tcsg.edu for complete information.

The Cobb County School District Official Testing CenterTM cannot give out official GED® test scores.  Offical diplomas and transcripts are mailed directly to the examinee from the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), Office of Adult Education, GED® Testing Program four (4) weeks after you have successfully completed all four parts of the test.  For additiional copies of these documents please contact TCSG at (404) 679-1645 or www.tcsg.edu. (You may print a Transcript Request form directly from the TCSG website).
