JR. WARRIORS and Parents,

This winter and spring, we will be implementing the Jr. Warrior “EARN THE BAR” program. Each workout will consist of strength training, proper spotting, form running, agilities and speed training, along with weight room etiquette and how to care for our new Strength facility and run by our NC Football Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, Coach Robert Ingram and Jr. Warrior coaches. Coach Ingram has over 20 successful years in leading and designing strength programs. Personal training facilities and trainers are charging $20-$30 per session and up to $400/month in some cases.

This program is for EVERYONE aspiring to play 6th, 7th and 8th grade Jr. Warrior football as well as those moving up to 9th grade and varsity football. Our well-designed strength program will not only make us stronger, leading to more Championships, but also prevent injury, and set a foundation for the future.

The “EARN THE BAR” program is designed to teach proper technique to prevent injury and get the maximal results from our strength program. EACH Warrior will begin with body movements and ONLY progress once technique is mastered. This will not be a rushed program since we believe that technique and safety are more important than the amount of weight being lifted. Once the Warrior masters body movement, he will progress to PVC pipe lifts using proper technique before graduating to the bar and eventually using weights in an unrushed, teachable method. Once he graduates to using the bar, he will receive a WARRIOR POWER, “I EARNED THE BAR” t-shirt and ring the bell in our weight room signifying a new record.

Each month, those Warriors making the minimum number of workouts for the month, listed below, will be treated to a burger or hot dog cookout with chips and Powerade, cooked by the Warrior Coaching Staff.

January               4 of 5 completed workouts

February             5 of 6 completed workouts

March                 6 of 8 completed workouts
