Board Approves FY2016 Budget
The Cobb County Board of Education approved a $944 million budget for Fiscal Year 2016 during its May 28, 2015 meeting, funding a full 180-day school year. The new budget includes no furlough days, a 4 percent raise for all employees and also provides for full step pay increases for all eligible employees. Read more

was pleased to recognize a number of outstanding individuals at their May 28, 2015, evening board meeting.
Among those honored were student scholars and athletes as well as
several district teachers, coaches, administrators and support staff.
Marietta Community School Awarded Georgia Driver’s Ed. Commission Grant
Marietta/Cobb Driver’s Education, a joint program of Cobb County and Marietta City Schools, has received a $364,190 grant from the GDEC.
“This is great news for the Cobb County School District and will save us approximately $125,000.” said Cobb Superintendent, Chris Ragsdale. Read more
