MUST Ministries Donation Helps 4,000 Cobb Students

Almost 4,000 students in Cobb County were behind in paying their end-of-the-year balance to the school cafeteria. “Out of a deep compassion to serve our children, MUST Ministries is making a one-time donation to cover the existing balance for students’ meal accounts from this past school year,” said Dr. Ike Reighard, president and CEO of MUST Ministries.

Cobb Schools Make Gov. Deal’s List of Best Schools

Gov. Nathan Deal along with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) added 21 Cobb schools to the highest performing or greatest gains school awards list. “I want to congratulate all of the award winning schools across our state, as well as the students and teachers who have worked tirelessly toward these accomplishments,” said Deal. New Cobb Summer Reading Website

To help Cobb students and families beyond the school walls, Cobb media specialists launched a new Cobb summer reading website. Knowing that reading prevents “summer slide” and helps maintain learning gains made throughout the year, the Media Leaders Team (MLT) was motivated to make continued reading throughout summer as easy as possible for parents and students.
