The
New Teacher Institute was developed to provide support to all beginning
teachers and any teacher new to the Cobb
County School
District.
The Institute is held for four consecutive days during the summer. The
purpose of the Institute is to provide a focus on the effective teaching
standards in planning and preparation, the classroom environment, instruction
and professional responsibilities. Participants
receive valuable resources and support to make their teaching experience
successful for themselves and their students.
Participants receive 3 Professional Learning Units of credit for
this course and registration is required.
Dress
for the Institute is business casual.
Dates and locations for the 2009 New Teacher
Institute are: July 28 at Durham Middle School July 29-31
at Fry Elementary School.
