RATIONALE/OBJECTIVE:
The approval of change orders to construction
contracts will be done on a legal contract basis between the contractor and
the Cobb County School District (District).
RULE:
Any change order in a construction contract
shall be approved as follows:
1. A change order in the amount of $25,000 or less shall be
submitted to the Chief
Operations Officer and the Director
of Construction for approval. The Change order
to be executed by the Superintendent
or Designee.
2. A change order in the amount of $25,001 thru $200,000 must
be approved by
Coordination Record and executed by
the Superintendent or Designee.
3. Board of Education (Board) Responsibilities:
a. A change order in an amount
greater than $100,000 shall be reported to the Board.
b. A change order in an amount
greater than $200,000 requires Board approval.
