RULE:

Employees who are not required to hold a state certificate are classified employees. They may be skilled, highly trained, and members of other professions. Classified personnel of the Cobb County School District includes classified administrators, technical and professional employees, clerical employees, paraprofessionals, food service workers, public health nurses, custodial and maintenance workers, transportation employees, etc. Employees in these positions are referred to as classified employees.
