Curriculum Design and Implementation ID 9/1/04


RATIONALE/OBJECTIVE:

To be developed.

RULE:

The design of curriculum and the procedures for instruction used in the Cobb County School District shall be established to meet or exceed the requirements of the State Board of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The Superintendent and appropriate staff members shall maintain current information on the following in order that it may be made available to Board members and the public upon request.

A. Compliance with QCE

B. Compliance with standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

C. Student enrollment by grades

D. Student enrollment in selected courses and programs in regular and special education

E. Teacher allocation and teacher/pupil ratios

F. High school scheduling efficiency including courses offered and courses eliminated in final high school schedules

G. Number of teachers out of field of certification

H. Curricular and instructional emphases for the year
