 School Board Governmental Relations LD 9/1/04


RATIONALE/OBJECTIVE:

The Superintendent or designee is directed to work cooperatively with state and local planning agencies in the collection and dissemination of data which will assist such agencies in planning efforts that best meet the needs of the local school district and the community.

RULE:

The following regulations will be observed regarding School Board Governmental Relations:

  • The Superintendent or designee will provide information to the Cobb County Planning and Zoning Department, to be included as a part of impact statements, for consideration by the Cobb County Commissioners when responding to requests for zonings.
     
  • Appropriate information regarding rezoning applications, impact statements, and other school district information provided to the Planning and Zoning Department will be maintained in the Superintendent's Office for Board review.
