Welcome to the Governmental
Relations Page
The Governmental Relations Department is a part
of the Operational Support Group and is under the direction of Mr.
Gordon Pritz, Associate Superintendent.
The mission is to support the Cobb County School Board and School
System by providing information to Georgia Legislators, Georgia
State School Board Members, officials of the Georgia Department of
Education and members of other governmental entities whose policy
decisions impact the school district and the students it serves.
This includes providing a presence during sessions of the Georgia
General Assembly, and during work sessions and regular meetings of
the Georgia State Board of Education. Up to date information from
the district is provided to policy makers as it is needed.
Governmental Relations assists the Superintendent and the Cobb
County Board of Education in the development of an annual list of
Legislative Priorities. Contact information for current Cobb County
legislators is maintained.
