How to Do Business with Cobb County School District sessions.
These informal sessions will be the first Thursday of every month from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the CCSD Procurement Services Bid Room located at 6975 Cobb
International Blvd. Kennesaw, GA 30152. Vendors will have an opportunity to ask questions, meet CCSD Procurement personnel and learn about District purchasing
processes. All interested vendors are welcome to attend. Should the schedule or location change for any reason, the information will be posted here on this website.
NOTE: Due to the Winter Break, the
next How to Do Business session will be held on
the 2nd Thursday in January.

The mission of the Cobb County School District Procurement Services Department is to provide students and staff a selection of quality products, services and vendors for the benefit of the educational process, accomplished through cost effective, moral, ethical, and prudent purchasing practices.
We strive to provide excellent customer service to the students and staff of the Cobb County School District by ensuring that the responsibilities incumbent upon the procurement operation are performed effectively, efficiently and with the utmost accountability by:
- Providing acceptable quality goods at lowest price;
- Ensuring transparency in use of public funds;
- Protecting against conflicts of interest;
- Maximizing competition;
- Fostering equal and fair competition;
- and Adhering to legal/regulatory guidelines
Code Of Ethics
The Cobb County School District (CCSD) Procurement Services Department recognizes purchasing as a profession and adopts the Code of Ethics promulgated by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP).
The CCSD Procurement Services Department recognizes that the Code of Ethics sets appropriate standards for purchasing and the CCSD Procurement Services Department expects adherence to the Code of Ethics by all employees of the Department.
The CCSD Procurement Services Department recognizes that employees of the Procurement Services Department are public employees. As such, these employees have the responsibility to uphold the public trust and to refrain from using their position for private benefit.
Therefore, it is the policy of the CCSD Procurement Services Department that employees shall, in addition to all other expectations and job requirements, refrain from conflicts of interest and avoid the appearance of unethical or compromising practices in business relationships, actions and communications.

The Cobb County School District (CCSD) Procurement Services Department received the following awards for "Best
Practices" in governmental purchasing:
- The Outstanding Agency Accreditation Achievement Award (OA4) - 4
consecutive three-year certifications: 2003, 2006, 2009, &
2012. CCSD is 1 of 6 government agencies in Georgia, 1 of 10
school districts nationwide, and 1 of 58 total government agencies
to receive this award.
- The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) - annual award for
ten consecutive years: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010,
2011, 2012, 2013, & 2014.
CCSD is 1 of 10 government agencies in Georgia and 1 of 22 school districts nationwide to receive this award.
- In 2004, The Pareto Award - Pareto accreditation is awarded for a period of five years. Pareto is the most prestigious and
highest award of agency achievement in our profession. Pareto may be earned only by agencies that have achieved OA4
accreditation and successfully completed a prescribed peer review process. The criteria for achieving the Pareto Award
is so difficult that only seven public agencies have been able to achieve this designation since its inception in 2003.
