Orientation, Final Exam, and Help
Session Schedule
Summer 2013 |
Student Online
Orientation
All
CVA students must complete an online Student Orientation. Students who register online will
be given login information within five (5) days of registration and
the mandatory Student Orientation should be completed within 48 hours
of the receipt of the Welcome Email. Students may begin working in
their content courses when the student orientation has been
successfully completed. Students who do not complete the online
Student Orientation by the date and time listed below will be
withdrawn from their online course without a refund.
Online Orientation Deadlines
Personal Fitness Students -
Within 48 hours of receipt of the Welcome email or

at Midnight, whichever comes first
All Other Students - Within 48 hours of
receipt of the Welcome Email or
Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Midnight,
whichever comes first.
Students who enroll during late registration must
complete all requirements of the Student Orientation during the
registration session.
Personal
Fitness Requirements
Personal
Fitness students must participate in the face-to-face
Pre-Fitness Test and Polar Heart Rate Training as listed below
(scroll to bottom of page). At this session, students will receive the Polar heart equipment
and learn
how to wear and workout with the equipment. Parents may not attend for the student. Students need to dress appropriately in workout clothes and
gym shoes.Students who do not attend the Pre-Fitness test on the date and time
scheduled by Cobb Virtual Academy will be withdrawn from their course
without a refund. There are NO MAKEUP'S for the Personal Fitness
Pre-Test and/or Final Exam.
All Personal Fitness students must return the
Polar Heart Rate equipment on the date listed below (scroll to the
bottom of the page). Parents or a designee may return the
equipment in the student's stead.
Help
Sessions
(see schedule below)
CVA help sessions are intended to assist
students with successfully using Blackboard functions such as submitting
assignments and with the use of Polar Watch equipment
(Personal Fitness students). Content specific assistance is
available and we ask students to inform their
instructor of their intention to attend a help session for
topic specific support so that a subject-area
expert will be available.
Technical support for students'
personal computers or the computing environment in which
they access their CVA course is the responsibility of
the student and is not provided at the CVA Help
Sessions.
Final
Exams/EOCT (see schedule below)
Students are required to
take final assessments administered as scheduled below.
There are NO makeup dates for EOCT or final exams.
**Students taking End of Course Tests
MUST bring a picture id: drivers license, CCSD
student id, yearbook, etc.
No electronic devices (cell phones,
iPods, etc.) are allowed in the test administration area. Time
limitations are placed on final assessments so students need to
arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the time of the test administration.
Students who arrive late will not be admitted.
