Personal Fitness Polar Equipment Computer Requirements

All CVA Personal Fitness students are required to use the provided Polar Watch and Heart Monitoring equipment. Students are provided access to a Polar-sponsored website called Healthy Schools in order to upload their workout data. Ideally, students will be able to use a computer at home to upload the information. However, CVA provides weekly, face-to-face help sessions where students have access to computers to upload their workout data.

The equipment used for uploading Polar watch workout data is specific to your computer's operating system.  Accordingly, you will need to know what operating system you have on your computer so you can request the proper devices at the pre-fitness session. See below for information on how to identify your computer's operating system.
***Please note: Polar does not support any Macintosh operating systems.***

1. Print this page
2. Identify the computer that you will use to upload your personal fitness workout data
3. On the computer,
find the My Computer or Computer text or icon and right-click on it. The My Computer icon or text may be on your desktop or in your Start/Windows menu (bottom left corner of your desktop). In Windows 7, it may be listed as Computer in the Start/Windows Menu
4.
Choose Properties.
5. Mark your results below and bring this with you to the pre-fitness session.

What happens if I attend the pre-fitness session without this form? You will be issued the default equipment. If the equipment does not work with your home computer, then you will need to complete this form and bring it to the first face-to-face help session.
