• Our area initiatives are:
- Increasing number of students meeting and exceeding standards
- Reduce sub-group performance gaps in reading and mathematics
- Use the Georgia Performance Standards to guide all instruction
- Use data to determine student strengths and weaknesses relative to the standards
- Benchmark quarterly

• Kennesaw Mountain High School Band selected to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.

• Kennesaw Mountain High School drama wins GHSA 5AAAAA One-Act Play Competition

• Students in area 5 continue to out-perform state averages on CRCT and GHST
