In September 1998, the citizens of Cobb County approved a One-Cent Sales Tax. The tax became effective January 1, 1999, and the first payment was received in March 1999. Collections for SPLOST 1 ended in December 2003 with the last revenues received in February 2004. A pro rata distribution was received in June 2004. SPLOST receipts of $529,885,149 fell short of the projected revenues of $626,772,687 by -$96,887,538 for a variance of -15.5%. SPLOST I Revenues (Millions)
