Bullying Information

Daniell Middle School takes bullying very seriously.  We follow Cobb County’s Bullying Best Practice Guidelines, Georgia state law, and the Cobb County Discipline Policy.  To determine whether a situation is indeed an act of bullying, please refer to the Cobb County definition of bullying below:

Bullying is:

Repeated often to the same person or different people

An imbalance of power

Purposeful with the intent to make fun of, embarrass, or exclude others

Bullying is when one or more people repeatedly harm, harass, intimidate, or exclude others.  Bullying is unfair and one-sided.

Student Guidelines to follow if you feel you are being bullied:

1.      Ask the other person to stop.  Do not retaliate.

2.     Share your story with an adult at home.  Be specific about the other person and the place it occurs.

3.     Ask for help at school from a teacher, a counselor, or an administrator.

4.     Follow the adult’s advice.

5.     If behaviors continue report back to the same adult.
