State School Board of Education Rule Regulations         governing class size

It is the responsibility of the music specialist/teacher in each school to monitor the number of students in each class. These numbers are reported to the music supervisor once a year in elementary school and twice a year in middle and high school. Irregularities should be reported to the local administrator and to the music supervisor.

Maximum general music class size for grades K-8 is 33.
Maximum instrumental music class size per period is 100.
Maximum choral music class size per period is 80.
