Festival Participation
Festival preparation and performance are an important
part of instruction. An ensemble from each performance area (band, orchestra,
and chorus) at each school is expected to participate in state festival.
Elementary choirs are encouraged to participate in festival. Groups may enter
for comment only. Classification is determined by the director with advice from
the supervisor if needed.
If for any reason, a group is not entered, permission must be obtained from the
school principal and the Supervisor of Music.
