Additional Responsibilities of Middle & High Directors
• Work toward the participation of at least one performing group in district
festival
• Encourage and assist students in ensembles, solos, and preparation for
auditions in activities such as honor band, chorus, and orchestra; All-State
ensembles; Solo & Ensemble festivals; music scholarships, and the Governor’s
Honors Program.
• Plan, accompany, and be responsible for the performance of your ensembles,
including behavior at all concerts, programs, activities, and field trips.
• Provide leadership to a supportive parent organization for the enhancement of
the music program.
• Approve the design and to coordinate the purchase of uniforms.
